Job Summary:
Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) needed for Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility in New Britain, Connecticut. The position involves working on the Respiratory Care Unit or Respiratory Step-Down Unit, providing care for respiratory and vent-dependent patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: New Britain, Connecticut

• Shift Hours: 3:00 PM 11:30 PM
• Schedule: 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license; BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred; 0 or more years of experience; experience with respiratory/vented patients strongly preferred; prior travel experience is a plus. Candidates must have a minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with respiratory/vented patients; proficiency in IV starts, drips, blood administration, EKGs, medication titrations, glucose monitoring, wound care, Trach care, suctioning, straight catheter, Foley care, port access, central line dressing, wound measurements.
• Float: Float rotation may be required within the scope of practice.
• Additional Information: The position involves caring for patients in a complex medical environment, primarily on respiratory-focused units. The RN will be responsible for procedural tasks such as IV starts, medication titrations, wound care, and other bedside responsibilities.
