Job Summary:
Oncology Infusion Nurse position available in Rocklin, California. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to adult patients with various diagnoses including oncology, hematology, neurology, and gastroenterology. Candidates must bring their license on the first day and have a minimum of three years of relevant experience, including experience with infusion pumps, chemo pumps, PICC lines, central lines, blood transfusions, blood draws, and injections. The position requires travel experience and certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN), and Oncology Nursing Society (ONS/ONCC) credentials.

Job Details:

• Location: Rocklin, California
• Shift Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, with 5 days per week and weekend coverage (2 weekend shifts per contract)
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC), OCN
• Required Qualifications: Valid healthcare license, 3 years of relevant experience with infusion pumps, chemo pumps, PICC lines, central lines, blood transfusions, injections, oncology, hematology, neurology, and gastroenterology. Experience with Epic electronic medical record system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, patient ratio experience of 3:1
• Additional Experience: Phlebotomy skills, blood transfusions, blood draws, dressing changes, patient education, and support in outpatient and inpatient oncology settings.
• Certifications and skills in managing ports, blood & blood products, chemotherapy administration, infusion pump management, and handling various diagnoses and procedures.
• Special Equipment: IV pumps, chemo pumps, PACs, PEG tubes, PICC lines, central lines.
• Unit Details: Support from pharmacy, interdisciplinary team, daily census of 32 patients, 9 rooms in unit, adult patient age group.
• Travel Experience Required: Yes.
• Orientation Hours: 30 hours.
• Additional notes: Candidate must be actively committed to compliance start date approximately 3 weeks out. Modules must be completed online prior to start. RTO must be presented upfront and cannot be negotiated after interview.
