Description

Job Summary:
A registered nurse (RN) position is available in an inpatient rehabilitation unit located in Fort Worth, Texas. This role involves working on a dedicated inpatient rehab unit that specializes in neurological, cardiac, and orthopedic adult patient care. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day and should be prepared to work the AM shift, with an emphasis on learning rehabilitation-specific documentation and patient mobilization skills.

Job Details:

  • Location: Fort Worth, TX
  • Specialty: Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, AM shift, minimum 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; willingness to learn and complete rehabilitation-specific documentation; ability to learn specialty patient mobilization skills; good attention to detail; experience with patients in neurological, cardiac, and orthopedic adult populations; prefer prior inpatient hospital experience in medical-surgical, step-down critical care, or inpatient rehabilitation nursing; experience in neurological, cardiac, and/or orthopedic nursing a plus.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior acute rehab experience.
  • Specialty/Unit Certifications Required: BLS
  • Procedures performed on unit: Urinary catheterization, peripheral IV insertions, blood administration, central line dressing changes, wound dressing changes, surgical drain removal, suture/staple removal, other medical-surgical procedures.
  • Additional Information: The position involves floating to medical-surgical units in rotation with unit staff; adherence to the facility's dress code and PPE policies is required.
