Description
Job Summary:
The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in Dallas, Texas. This role involves providing direct patient care, supervision of unlicensed staff, and ensuring compliance with clinical and regulatory standards within a rehabilitation and transitional care setting. Candidates must bring their valid RN license on the first day and have a minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience. The position requires working Monday through Friday, with shifts from 07:30 AM to 04:30 PM.
Job Details:
- Location: Dallas, TX
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day, 07:30 - 16:30, minimum 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid State RN License, valid State Drivers License, BLS Certification (American Heart Association) prior to first shift, minimum two years of bedside clinical experience, neuro, TBI, SCI, CVA experience preferred
- Additional Information:
- Duties assigned by the Senior RN include patient care, training, and supervision of unlicensed staff performing nurse delegated tasks
- Assists with operational duties and regulatory compliance, including creating procedures for licensure and accreditation adherence
- Manages medical documentation, conducts weekly medication administration record audits, inputs orders into electronic health records, and ensures completeness and accuracy
- Addresses patient care and PRN medical issues to maintain medical stability
- Communicates effectively with on-call staff, physicians, and treatment team to ensure patient safety
- Coordinates emergency drills, responds to emergency situations, and documents incidents as required
- Supports oversight of clinical compliance, staff training, and ongoing competency assessments across delivery sites and community settings
- Participates in team meetings, incident investigations, inventory management, and on-call support as needed
