Job Summary:
The position is for a Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) in South Portland, Maine. The role involves managing patient care for individuals receiving hospice services, with an emphasis on caring for common diagnoses such as post-orthopedic surgeries, wound care, chronic and acute conditions like CHF and COPD, and providing education on IV antibiotics and central line care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of work. The role is full-time with a start date of 07/06/2026.

Job Details:

• Location: South Portland, Maine
• Schedule: 5 (8) hour days, Monday through Friday, with weekend and on-call rotation, generally once every 3 to 4 weeks. Business hours are 8 AM to 5 PM; there is potential for a 4-day, 10-hour workweek based on experience.
• Required Qualifications: RN licensed for the state of Maine, drivers license with own vehicle, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, at least 1 year of experience in hospice or home health care, proficiency in caring for common diagnoses listed above, support from departmental support team, and experience with Netsmart electronic medical records system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Hospice experience preferred.
• Additional Information: This position requires travel from patient home to patient home, with onsite parking available at the office when necessary. Support within the department includes scheduling, clinical management, lead support team, and technology such as IV pumps provided through vendor. Orientation lasts one week.
