Description

Job Summary
Labor Delivery Registered Nurse (RN), Labor and Delivery Department Bangor, ME. The healthcare provider will deliver high-quality nursing care across Labor and Delivery and Mother-Baby settings, supporting patients with a range of labor and pregnancy-related conditions. Responsibilities include advanced fetal monitoring support, labor management activities, and newborn care tasks as needed. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Night shift (12-hour shift). Minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Current RN license; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) and Management of Anticoagulants (MOAB) certifications (as listed); Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience; Certifications for Surgical Technician (CST) including BLS and CST nationally certified; Ability to titrate Pitocin, perform cervical exams, manage insulin drips and magnesium drips, and support shoulder dystocia response; Experience completing at least 1 assignment at a facility comparable in size and acuity Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Willingness to work Charge as needed (charge experience to be discussed during interview).
  • Additional Information:
    • Supports Labor Delivery and Mother-Baby care models where units are physically adjacent.
    • Nursing responsibilities may include newborn documentation and coordination tasks when maternal stays require continuous surveillance.
    • May float within allowable areas (Mother-Baby and related units) as determined by operational needs.
    • No call required; call may be optional depending on availability.
