Description
Job Summary:
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath lab) Nurse is a critical member of the healthcare team based in Charleston, South Carolina. The position involves working in a facility known for its high-quality cardiovascular services and a Level II Trauma Center. Candidates are expected to work every other weekend and holidays on a rotating basis with hospital staff. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Shift: Days, 10 hours shift hours, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: RN licensure, Cath lab experience, emergency medication knowledge, proficiency with GE X-ray equipment, experience with procedures such as LHC, PCI, TAVR, PPM, Impella, IABP, and familiarity with documentation systems Maclab and Meditech.
- Preferred Qualifications: At least one year of experience in a Cath lab setting.
- Schedule: 7-9 call days per month; at least one weekend per month.
- Additional Information: The facility has 2 labs, performs approximately 10 cases daily, and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment performing specialized cardiovascular procedures. The nurse must adhere to hospital dress code, with scrubs provided.
