Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse position is available in the Progressive Care Unit located in Washington, District of Columbia. This role involves providing specialized cardiac stepdown and progressive care services. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Location: Washington, District of Columbia
• Shift Time: Nights (3 x 12-hour shifts)
• Schedule: 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: BSN preferred; current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia; two years of RN experience; two years of cardiac telemetry experience; Cerner electronic medical record (EMR) system experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required; graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Additional Information: The unit is a 48-bed cardiac-focused stepdown unit, including 4 pulmonary care beds and 10 cardiac surgery beds (not required for travelers). The team manages frequent IV drips such as Heparin, Milrinone, Lasix, and Bumex, with common diagnoses including CHF, NSTEMI, arrhythmias, and vascular surgery cases.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
