Job Summary:
The Surgical Technologist 1 (Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician) is located in Temple, TX. This role involves assisting the surgical team during invasive procedures by preparing instruments, maintaining sterile fields, and ensuring operational efficiency. Candidates must bring their license on the first day. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiovascular surgery, including open heart, open vascular, and endovascular procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 4x10 hours (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday), 06:30 AM 05:00 PM, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: BLS (AHA only), CST certification, successful completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited surgical technologist program or equivalent military operating room technician training, and at least 2 years of experience in cardiovascular procedures including open heart, open vascular, and endovascular surgeries
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with open heart, vascular, and endovascular surgeries preferred
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: The role involves maintaining infection control standards, sterilization procedures, and supporting surgical team operations in a busy OR environment.
