Description
Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized care for patients with neurological, trauma, and general medical conditions, primarily during night shifts. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Marshfield, Wisconsin
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
- Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday; 48 hours per week minimum, with potential for 36 or 48-hour guarantees
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Required Qualifications: No minimum experience specified, but candidates must meet the following: 2 years of Medical-Surgical (MS), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience within the last 12 months; experience with drips such as Heparin, Nitro, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Insulin, or 3%; willingness to train on vents and trachs; valid license; must have worked previously with the facility if applicable (with end date at least 6 months prior to submission) and clock in/out at the facility
- Additional Information:
- Float: Float rotation may be required to sister Med-Surg units and various specialties including cardiac, general, orthopedic, hematology/oncology
- Dress Code: Any solid color scrubs
- Orientation: One general shift followed by one preceptor-led shift
- Charting System: Cerner
- Trauma Level: 2
- Care Setting: Acute care
- Shift Notes: 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend and holidays, with possible 36 or 48-hour guarantees
- Work on vents and traumatic injuries, including neurological and orthopedic conditions, with a willingness to learn vent management and titrate drips
- Must note if previously worked for the facility during submission
