Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in medical-surgical cardiac care is sought for a dynamic position located in New York, NY. The role involves providing safe, competent, and high-quality patient care within a cardiology unit. Candidates are required to bring their licensed RN credential on the first day. This position offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated healthcare team in a fast-paced hospital environment, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through evidence-based practices and relationship-centered care.

Job Details:

  • Location: New York, NY
  • Specialty: Medical Surgical Cardiac Floor (MS CARDIAC)
  • Shift Hours: 7.5 hours per shift with schedule from 9AM to 5PM, minimum of 37.5 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: NYS RN License, BLS, ACLS certifications, 2 years current medical-surgical with telemetry experience, EPIC electronic medical record proficiency, Bachelor of Science in nursing preferred or associate degree with relevant experience or active BSN program enrollment, minimum 2 years RN experience, 1 year travel experience for travel positions (not required for per diem).
  • Preferred Qualifications: High proficiency in EKG interpretation, experience with patient education, patient care management, and high reliability principles.
  • Responsibilities include delivering patient-centered care using critical thinking skills, assessments, interventions, teaching, patient education, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. The role emphasizes relationship-centered care, safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Additional Information: The candidate must be adaptable to varying ratios, perform charge nurse duties when assigned, assist with inventory and documentation, support patient throughput, and participate in ongoing professional development.
