Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Medical Surgical specialty is available in Danville, Virginia. This role involves providing patient care on a 24-bed medical surgical unit. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers a full-time schedule with guaranteed hours and requires candidates to meet specified certification and experience standards.
Job Details:
- Location: Danville, VA
- Specialty: Medical Surgical Floor
- Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts, weekly guaranteed hours of 36, with weekend hours every other week or as needed.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Healthcare Worker (HWC) available on-site, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); valid license to work as an RN in Virginia; at least 1+ years of experience in a clinical setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in medical-surgical nursing for 2+ years.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Unit has 24 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6; EMR system used is Meditech; the team serves patients of all ages and requires a professional personality fit.
