Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nursing position located in Des Moines, Iowa. The role involves providing specialized care within a telemetry, cardiac, stepdown, or progressive care setting. Candidates are required to bring their active Iowa license on the first day of work. This position offers an opportunity to work with diverse cardiac patient populations and requires prior experience in telemetry or related disciplines.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Iowa license or multistate license; 24 months of current experience in telemetry, cardiac, stepdown, or progressive care; certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); experience with Alaris IV pump, wound vac, cardiac drip/titration, ICD, Pacemaker, CABG, vascular surgical patients, and cardiac rhythm management.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Level II trauma patients and Epic electronic medical record system.
• Float: Traveler will be required to float across all campuses, including Iowa Lutheran when needed.
• Additional Information: Work for this unit may include working 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day). Candidates must have a minimum of 24 months' experience in relevant telemetry or cardiac care disciplines, with proficiency in specified equipment and patient populations. No first-time travelers accepted; must have completed at least one travel contract within the past 18 months.
• Submission Requirements: Work history/resume/employment history demonstrating 24 months of relevant experience, skills checklist specific to discipline, active Iowa license/multistate license clearly stated in Nursys, professional references from within past 24 months, and copy of drivers license.
