Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) Orange, California
The organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Labor and Delivery unit, supporting high-risk obstetric care and routine labor management. Responsibilities include circulating for cesarean sections, assisting with vaginal deliveries, and performing sterile vaginal exams in large hospital settings. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week
  • Start Date: 07/14/2026
  • Required Qualifications: California RN license (must be in hand); Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate; AWHONN Advanced; experience in large hospital settings; experience in labor and delivery with ability to circulate and perform sterile vaginal exams
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk obstetrics; experience in large hospital settings
  • Additional Information: Unit care includes high-risk antepartum patients and supports procedures including cesarean section, dilation and curettage (D&C), cervical cerclage, and vaginal deliveries. External Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM) skills are required, including recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support. Weekend coverage is expected to meet unit needs, and scheduling requests may be impacted by outside employment. Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, NYE, NYD).
