Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse is needed in Sioux City, Iowa, to provide specialized care on an oncology/hematology unit. The selected candidate will be integral to the interdisciplinary team, delivering expert clinical care to patients, with a focus on oncology and hematology conditions. All candidates are required to bring their valid licensure on the first day of assignment.

  • Required Qualifications:
    • Iowa state nursing license
    • BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification
    • Epic (Electronic Health Record) experience
    • Minimum 2 years of previous relevant experience
    • At least 1 travel contract completed
    • Valid driver's license
    • Work history/resume required
    • Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
    • License verification required
    • Copy of all relevant certifications required
    • References: 1 supervisory reference required at time of submission
    • Candidates must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility; unless local in Madison with a 10% rate reduction.
  • Additional Information:
    • The position involves working with oncology/hematology patients, including those with central venous access devices (CVAD).
    • Orientation sessions are scheduled for April 27-28, May 11-12, and May 26-27.
    • Candidates should be prepared to work on Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day if required.
    • The traveler may float within the same discipline across local campuses.
    • Must adhere to facility-specific protocols and safety guidelines.
