Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Kansas City, Kansas. The RN is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care by following the nursing care plan, supervising staff, and ensuring patient safety. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of the assignment.

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification prior to first shift, valid Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification prior to first shift (CIRH only), minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience, previous experience in a Select Medical setting preferred, and Kansas nursing license required.
• Schedule: Day shifts with 12-hour shifts and a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS Certification, ACLS Certification (CIRH only), at least two (2) years of bedside clinical experience, and an active nursing license in Kansas.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with Select Medical.
• Additional Information: The RN will perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, participate in patient rehabilitation programs, initiate discharge planning, and provide patient education. The role involves supervision of ancillary staff, delegation, and participation in team activities to maintain a positive work environment. Candidates must demonstrate competency in clinical skills and prioritize patient safety.
