Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position in Corpus Christi, Texas. This role requires candidates to bring their license on the first day and have at least 2 years of emergency department (ED) experience as an RN. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment dedicated to acute patient care.
Job Details:
- Location: Corpus Christi, Texas
- Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift, with Night Shift available
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute), NCC (National Certification Corporation); Education requirements include a valid RN license with at least 2 years of ED experience.
- Schedule: Night shifts, with typical staffing including 5-7 RNs, 1 ER Tech, and 1 Unit Secretary per shift, working predominantly from 5p to 1a or 11a to 11p, totaling 12 hours.
- Additional Information: The unit features rapid response times with a 12-minute door-to-needle time for TPA administration, efficient bed assignment, and utilizes electronic medical records (EMR).
- Clinical Environment: The unit manages high-acuity cases including STEMI and stroke, with procedures such as TPA administration and stroke recognition.
- Dress Code and Policies: Scrubs in royal blue are preferred but not required; no competitors' emblems allowed.
