Description

Job Summary:

The placement is for an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse at a community hospital located in Fairfax, Virginia. This role involves providing patient care in a 12-bed medical-surgical ICU setting with ratios of 2:1 for ICU patients and 3:1 for intermediate care unit patients. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment and must meet the specified qualifications.

Job Details:

  • Location: Fairfax, Virginia
  • Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts; Night shifts (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) and Day shifts (6 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), a minimum of 2 years of intensive care experience, and proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, specifically EPIC.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in ICU settings, ability to float between units, and adherence to facility dress code (scrubs: navy blue pants and solid navy-blue tops or solid white, jackets: solid navy blue or white).
  • Schedule: Night and day shifts; 36 hours per week minimum. Typically 4 to 6 shifts in a 6-week period, including every other weekend.
  • Additional Information: This position involves potential to float as per unit policy. No on-call or holiday requirements are specified. Epic access is necessary for this role, and no specific Epic modules are detailed. Submitments are limited to 8 per supplier.
  • Submission Requirements: Uniformnavy blue or white scrubs, with jackets in solid navy blue or white. Candidates must have Epic access.
