Job Summary:
The operating room (OR) specialty position is based in Round Rock, Texas. This role involves providing specialized nursing or surgical technologist support within the OR environment, supporting a variety of surgical procedures including general, orthopedic, neuro, vascular, and trauma surgeries. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Round Rock, Texas
• Shift: Tuesday through Friday, starting at 10:30 AM and ending at 9:00 PM; schedule may vary based on operational needs (including 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts) with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Certification: Valid nursing or surgical technologist certification or license
  • Education: Relevant degree or certification in nursing or surgical technology
  • Experience: General surgery, orthopedic, neuro surgery experience for both registered nurses (RN) and surgical technologists; at least one year of basic general OR knowledge. For candidates applying for Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) roles, a minimum of two years of CVOR experience covering all adult open-heart cases and endovascular procedures is mandatory.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Trauma experience for both RN and Tech
  • Vascular surgery experience for both RN and Tech, including procedures like fistula creation and endarterectomy
• Additional Information:
  • Candidates must possess the skills outlined; those lacking these will not be considered.
  • May support a variety of case types and be flexible with room assignments.
  • Willingness to assist in the mentorship of new graduate staff and to adapt to different department workflows is preferred.
  • Scrubs in light blue are required; provided by the facility.
