Description
Job Summary:
Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) in Spokane, Washington. This role involves performing sterilization and decontamination procedures within a Level III Trauma Center. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day and must have at least 2 years of experience in sterile processing or related fields. Flexibility to float between sister facilities may be expected.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on weekdays and from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM every third weekend, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Washington (WA) or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submission; valid Allied license in hand; Certifications including CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA, HSPA, or CBSPD; 2 years of experience in sterile processing or related fields; experience with charting systems using Epic; travel experience preferred.

- Additional Information: This position requires proficiency in aseptic technique, sterilization processes, scope reprocessing, equipment documentation, and operation of sterilization and decontamination equipment. The candidate must have experience with high-level disinfection, sterilization wrapping procedures, and automated endoscope reprocessors (AER). Travelers may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities; refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment.
- Certifications: CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA, HSPA, or CBSPD.
- Experience: 2 years of sterile processing experience.
