Job Summary:
The operating room (OR) specialty in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, offers an immediate opportunity for experienced cardiovascular (CVOR) registered nurses (RNs) to join a high-performing team. This travel position requires candidates to bring their license on the first day and involves working in a 12-bed CV Operating Room unit, performing advanced cardiovascular procedures. The successful candidate will provide exceptional patient care while working a 12-hour day shift.

Job Details:

• Location: Fort Walton Beach, FL
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7:00AM 7:00PM, Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS). Must have a valid license to practice as a registered nurse. Candidates must possess at least 3 years of cardiovascular (CVOR) nursing experience. No specific degree or education requirements are specified.
• Additional Information: The units staffing includes 4 RNs per OR suite, comprising 2 circulators, 1 scrub RN, and 1 RNFA. The unit is equipped with advanced OR equipment and offers a fast-paced environment performing procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafts (CABG), valve replacements, minimally invasive valve surgery, dissections, thoracic procedures, and vascular surgeries. The OR operates 24/7 with a no floating policy. Candidates should be comfortable working in a hospital that emphasizes teamwork and utilizes MediTech electronic documentation. The unit maintains high standards of patient experience, including hourly updates to family members.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with orthopedic/neurosurgical procedures and DaVinci robotic surgery systems is highly desirable. Candidates with advanced skills in these areas will be prioritized.
