Job Summary: Psychiatric Unit Mental Health Technician (Days) in Richmond, Virginia. The mental health technician in the 3W Mood Disorder unit supports behavioral health assessments and assists with admissions and discharges while contributing to safe, effective patient care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift (12-hour shifts) with a minimum of 36 hours per week; weekends every other, no on-call.
• Required Qualifications: Crisis Prevention Institute Certification (CPI); Crisis Prevention Response Form (CPRF); Behavioral health experience; Med/Surg experience; experience with higher acuity populations.
• Preferred Qualifications: Behavioral health experience.
• Additional Information:
  • Responsibilities include behavioral health assessments, medication support, admissions, and discharges.
  • Typical patient ratios vary (710).
  • Equipment used may include oxygen and Dinamap; documentation may be completed in Meditech.
  • Float: Floating may be required across all units within the behavioral health pavilion (adult, substance abuse, and child/adolescent).
