Job Summary: Milton, Massachusetts Telemetry Medical Surgical Float Registered Nurse. The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide Medical Surgical and Telemetry (TELE MS) nursing care on a rotating schedule that includes weekend and holiday coverage. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM7:00 AM), weekend and holiday rotation; minimum 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing
  • Equivalent to a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Recent acute Medical Surgical with Telemetry nursing experience (2+ years required)
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Epic experience (required); Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experienceEpic (required)
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Epic experience (preferred)
• Additional Information:
  • Float pool needs: reassignment may be required between Medical Surgical Telemetry units.
  • This unit does not have Telemetry technicians; Registered Nurses are responsible for readiness and interpreting their own telemetry strips.
  • Pass/Fail ECG/Tele testing and medication testing are required prior to acceptance; one attempt only to pass.
  • Dysrhythmia test (20 questions) and medication test (20 questions) are administered prior to acceptance; testing must be completed within 48 hours of confirmation.
  • Passing score is 85%; there is no opportunity for remediation or re-sit.
  • Only medical exemptions are acceptable.
  • Must be separated from the organization for 6+ months and be in good standing to be considered.
  • Submission requirement: a required coversheet is needed at time of submission.
