Description
Job Summary: Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician La Mesa, California
The organization is seeking a Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician to support cardiovascular surgery, including open heart cases, and to assist with other operating room case types when cardiac cases are not available. This role includes scrub responsibilities in a hospital setting and requires on-call availability as scheduled. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week. Scheduled two shifts every other weekend.
- On Call: 12-hour weekend on-call and 20-hour weekday on-call within a four-week period, with a 30-minute response time. Weekend call will be in addition to regularly scheduled weekend shifts.
- Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years as a scrub person in a hospital setting
- BLS for HealthCare providers required
- CVOR experience including open heart surgery support
- High school education preferred
- Approved program for Operating Room Technicians or demonstrated technical skills through on-the-job training
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Scrub Tech Certification preferred
- Additional Information:
- Will work other cases when there are no heart cases, including orthopedics, neurology, and robotics
