Description

Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse Issaquah, WA. The position supports Labor/Delivery services, including triage of obstetrical patients and preparation and assistance for deliveries and related procedures across the unit. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses Intermediate (AWHONN Intermediate); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); A minimum of 2 years of experience is required; License required for on-site start (license to be brought on the first day).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Additional Information: Responsibilities include circulating and supporting obstetrical procedures such as C-sections, assisting with high-risk delivery, performing sterile vaginal exams, and supporting post-procedure recovery. Clinical skills include administration of blood and blood products, anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, epidural anesthesia and epidural-related equipment use, magnesium sulfate therapy, insulin drips, pain assessment and management, triage of obstetrical patients, use of intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC) placement and calibration, use of patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) equipment, wound assessment/care, and maintaining central lines (CVC/PICC). Special procedures and equipment support include blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blanket support, drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, and participation in all deliveries and high-risk deliveries.
