Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (Burn Care) Registered Nurse (RN) San Francisco, California. This role supports burn care within an intensive care setting, including management of critically ill patients and specialized burn-related nursing responsibilities. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days (12-hour shifts), minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: California RN License; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); minimum 2 years RN experience; minimum 1 year critical care experience; charting experience with Epic
• Preferred Qualifications: Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN); prior burn unit experience; 1 year pediatrics experience; prior travel within 12 months; prior teaching hospital experience
• Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care for patients in burn-intensive and trauma-intensive care contexts
  • Perform arterial line management
  • Administer blood products and manage care associated with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
  • Provide ventilator management and suctioning (ETT, NT)
  • Deliver and monitor procedural sedation and continuous IV sedation
  • Support infection prevention and care processes for critically ill patients
  • Assess, interpret, and manage dysrhythmias
  • Perform phlebotomy and establish/maintain intravenous access
• Additional Information:
  • Burn care-focused certifications include Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) and Certified Burn RN (CBRN)
  • Float: Float rotation to other facilities may be required
  • Patient age groups served include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
  • Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
• Submission Requirements: Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster is required upon submission, or proof of an appointment scheduled before the start date.
