Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (Soldotna, Alaska) is responsible for providing individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and facility policies and standards of nursing practice. This role includes managing patient care for the Labor and Delivery / Recovery / Postpartum (LDRP) setting, supporting fetal monitoring needs, and collaborating to ensure safe, patient-centered outcomes. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights (12 hours shifts) with a minimum of 36 hours per week; on-call as needed and must follow unit procedures.
- Required Qualifications: Active Alaska state Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); STABLE (STABLE); High School AED (HS AED); Advanced Fetal Monitoring; Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience; able to float to over units/departments as needed.
- Preferred Qualifications: None provided.
- Additional Information: Uses Meditech, OBIX, Pyxis Supply Stations, and bedside fetal monitoring; documentation in EPIC. Unit training includes Meditech and OBIX training (3-day training) and unit-specific orientation; Medication testing may be required within the first two weeks on site.
