Description

Registered Nurse (RN), Medical ICU Intensive Care Unit Medical, Honolulu, HI
A Registered Nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit provides direct patient care in a high-acuity setting, supporting patients with critical medical conditions. This role requires current certifications and demonstrated ICU experience, with readiness to float to related units based on facility needs. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Rotating shift, 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred); active, unencumbered Hawaii RN license; current Basic Life Support (BLS) (Healthcare Provider); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) (or equivalent); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (preferred); specialty certification(s) highly desired (Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN)); pass an EKG exam with 80% or better during orientation; all licenses and certifications must remain valid from the time of application submission through the duration of the initial contract; two (2) or more years of full-time staff RN experience in a Medical ICU at a Level I Trauma Center prior to any travel assignments
  • Preferred Qualifications: Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) experience highly desired; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred; specialty certification(s) highly desired (Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN)); Previous traveler experience with the organization is preferred
  • Responsibilities/Position Details: May be assigned to float to ICU, Stepdown, and Telemetry based on facility needs; if RN coverage is not needed on the unit or a similar unit, assignment to nursing assistant or safety sitter duties may be required
