Description

Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit Medical nurse position is based in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role involves providing specialized critical care in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting. The selected candidate will deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, hospital environment, supporting the organizations commitment to excellent healthcare delivery.

Job Details:

  • Location: Honolulu, Hawaii
  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
    • Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license active and unencumbered
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (HCP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications all valid at the time of application submission and throughout the contract
    • Specialty certification(s) such as Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) highly desired
    • Successful passing of an EKG exam with 80% or better during orientation
  • Professional Experience:
    • Two (2) or more years of full-time staff RN experience in a Medical ICU at a Level I Trauma Center prior to any travel assignments required.
    • CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) experience is highly preferred.
  • Additional Information:
    • Previous travelers within the organization are highly preferred
    • Travel assignments may include float responsibilities to ICU, Stepdown, and Telemetry units, based on facility needs
    • All compliance documentation must be completed no later than 10 days prior to the contract start date. Failure to do so will delay the start or result in cancellation.
    • Submission of a current NURSYS report is required with all applications
    • If RN is not needed on their designated unit or similar units, the nurse may be assigned as a nursing assistant or safety sitter, and expected to fulfill these roles
