Description

Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position in Overland Park, Kansas. This role involves providing specialized patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting, focusing on adult and geriatric patient populations. The RN will be responsible for monitoring and managing patients with complex health conditions, utilizing advanced clinical skills to ensure optimal outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid medical license in Kansas or a compact state, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Progressive Care or similar unit, experience with charting systems such as Epic, and familiarity with managing adult and geriatric patient populations.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a hospital with interdisciplinary support including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Rapid Response Teams.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed, including both Kansas and Missouri.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to float between departments and facilities as necessary, with proper licenses or compact credentials in hand. No local candidates within a 75-mile radius are accepted, and only specific roles such as Patient Care Technicians, Certified Nurse Assistants, and Medical Assistants are allowed as local travelers. All compliance documentation, including proof of certifications and training modules, must be completed prior to start.
