Description

Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical Neurology, located in Boise, Idaho, is sought to support a Neuro unit at an acute care facility. The position involves night shifts, with candidates required to bring their license on the first day. The RN will provide care for patients with neurological diagnoses, including stroke, spine/back surgeries, cranial surgeries, seizures, EEG monitoring, and other neuro-related conditions. The role requires the ability to support float staffing needs across the Treasure Valley Med-Surg areas.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, weekends as needed, first to float; minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Must have more than 3 years of experience with solid Medical-Surgical or Telemetry nursing background, licensed as a Registered Nurse with an active license to submit. Certifications required include Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) or ARC, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Stroke experience is preferred.
  • Float: Float to support all Treasure Valley Medical Surgical areas.
  • Additional Information: Candidates are required to submit their permanent address outside of a 50-mile radius of the facility for compliance purposes. Orientation includes two days plus a didactic day with the unit-based educator. RT (Respiratory Therapy) equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow, Trachs is available as a resource. There are no specific dress code requirements beyond maintaining a professional appearance.
