Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology (IR) Nurse Ithaca, NY. This dynamic nursing position involves coordinating inpatient and outpatient services for an imaging department that includes computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role requires assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, supporting clinical operations, and facilitating procedures in various imaging units. The IR Nurse will serve as a vital link between hospital staff and physicians, ensuring seamless patient care throughout pre- and post-procedure phases at multiple campus locations.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid state nursing license; RN license, at least 1 year of experience in inpatient or outpatient settings, and current CPR certification; location in Ithaca, NY; and minimum of 1 year of professional nursing experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in interventional radiology, ultrasound, or nuclear medicine nursing is preferred
• Additional Information: The role includes responsibilities related to preadmission nursing assessments, testing, care coordination, and post-procedure patient evaluations. The position supports specialized programs including the Lung Navigation program and Breast Navigator program, requiring proficiency in managing procedures and supporting clinical teams in a fast-paced imaging environment.
