Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a qualified Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) registered nurse for a travel assignment at a healthcare facility in Wichita, Kansas. This position involves working in a specialized cardiac surgery environment, supporting procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), aortic valve replacement (AVR), mitral valve repair (MVR), and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). The role requires dedicated patient care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Active Kansas registered nurse licensure; minimum 1-year current acute care cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) RN hospital experience; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); open heart and cardiovascular surgery experience; prior Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) experience
- Additional Information: The unit has 2 heart rooms with a third possible, staffed by 4 registered nurses and 3 certified surgical technologists. The role involves working during a restart of the extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) program. On-call duty includes one weeknight per week and one weekend per month.
