Description
Job Summary: Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (CV) Registered Nurse (RN) Baltimore, Maryland. The role provides bedside nursing care in a Cardiovascular Surgical Intensive Care Unit, supporting patients recovering from complex cardiac procedures, including post-operative cardiac surgery. Candidates must bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shift; 12 hours per shift; minimum 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: RN License; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); current experience with recovery of post-op cardiac surgery patients in an Intensive Care Unit setting; ability to manage ventilator (Vent) patients; experience with continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT); Swan (Swan-Ganz) monitoring experience; epicardial wires/pacemakers experience; vasoactive gtts titration; level 1 intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) experience; and ECMO experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Critical Care Certification; trauma course.
- Additional Information: Nurse/patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2. Orientation is scheduled for the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month.
- Additional Information: Candidates who have previously worked in any capacity for any facilities within the same health system must ensure that this is noted in the work history so rehire status can be verified prior to an offer. If previously employed in a staff, permanent, or PRN capacity with that health system, candidates must be gone for one full year before applying.
