Job Summary: OR RN in Operating Room Fargo, ND
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) opportunities are available for acute care surgical support in Fargo, North Dakota. The role includes circulating responsibilities in the operative setting, including sterile site preparation, patient positioning, equipment setup, and electronic documentation. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Evenings; 10 hours per shift; 40 hours per week; rotating call and the ability to stay late as needed (regular shift extension). Rotate to the PM shift in rotation with all staff; call is 1 to 2 days per week and every 3 to 4 weekends.
- Required Qualifications: RN licensure (RN ND or Compact); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; recent OR RN experience as stated in the posting (2 years); large hospital OR experience with 250+ beds and level 1 trauma status; experience in an acute facility with 15 or more OR suites; circulating nurse experience with operative documentation and electronic charting; experience with general surgical cases, including GYN and Urology; experience with laparoscopic procedures; strong Neuro experience (cranies and spine) including navigation; strong Ortho experience to support versatility across cases.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with robotics (DaVinci preferred).
- Additional Information:
- Outpatient center experience will not be a match.
- Equipment and workflow may include EPIC-based documentation, computerized charting, Accudose, cautery/lasers, laparoscopic and arthroscopy equipment, and navigation tools for Neuro cases.
- Floating to other units/departments may be required.
- All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility.
- Scrub color: provided Ceil Blue.
- Submission note requirement: submissions must indicate whether the clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health; if previously worked for Sanford Health, an end date at least 6 months prior to the submission date must be provided.
- Cancellation policy: Client may cancel up to 12 hours every 13 weeks.
