Description
Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology (IR) Registered Nurse in Los Angeles, California. The role observes, evaluates, and coordinates care delivered to patients in the Special Procedures department, supporting direct and indirect care activities in alignment with facility policies, procedures, philosophy, and mission. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days; 10-hour shifts; minimum 40 hours per week (MF)
- Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) (preferred); Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per facility policy; Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS); Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) must be from an approved vendor per facility policy
- Preferred Qualifications: Registered Nurse experience with critical care experience or medical-surgical experience, and/or experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab/Special Procedure department; Advanced Electrocardiogram (EKG) certification
- Additional Information: Connect electrocardiogram (EKG) leads and alert the physician of any changes in patient condition; operate computerized MIDAS system with accuracy and evaluate and report significant data and findings throughout procedures for patients of various age groups; monitor patients and analyze electrocardiogram (EKG) and hemodynamic parameters, reporting changes to the physician; operate specialized equipment including Datascope Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Baxter Cardiac Output, Automated Coagulation Timer (ACT) machine, American Optical Unistat Oximeter, Medrad injector, Life Pak, defibrillator, Sony digital systems, and GE Advantx X-ray system; training is provided at the White Memorial campus; floating to White Memorial may be required as needed
