Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Webster, Texas
This role supports the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) by providing comprehensive neonatal care, participating in unit-based procedures, and collaborating with the care team to maintain patient safety and effective workflow. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); and STABLE experience (central line experience with UAC, UVC, broviacs, PICC, etc.)
- Preferred Qualifications: STABLE experience (central line experience with UAC, UVC, broviacs, PICC, etc.)
- Responsibilities: Perform IV starts; support PICC insertions (trained clinicians); provide neonatal patient care in accordance with unit guidelines and policies
- Additional Information: Unit staffing includes 1 charge and 1015 RNs with 1 patient care technician per shift; patient ratios vary by acuity (level 3: 13 per nurse; level 2: 34 per nurse). Equipment used may include isolettes, OMNI beds, phototherapy equipment, and computers. Floating may include the newborn nursery. Four weekend shifts per schedule minimum, with occasional on-call coverage.
