Job Summary: Operating Room (OR) Scrub Tech Farmington, Connecticut. The OR Scrub Tech supports surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining sterile field readiness and assisting the surgical team as needed. This role includes rotating weekend and holiday coverage and may involve on-call duties. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating variable hours based on need (7:00 AM, 9:30 AM, 11:00 AM, and 1:00 PM) with on-call and rotating weekends and holidays; at least one weekend per month on-call. Minimum of 40 hours per week, 10-hour shifts, with a 30-minute report time.
• Required Qualifications: National Board of Surgical Technologists (NBSTA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) certification (certification must be on file at time of submission); Associate degree from a Surgical Tech Program or equivalent certification; 45 years as a Scrub Tech or combined OR experience; ability to perform independently without assistance for Orthopedic (ORTHO), Neurology (NEURO), and Spine (SPINE) cases; ability to scrub complex spine cases; Epic experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: None listed.
• Additional Information: Active Connecticut ORT certification is not required at time of submission but must be obtained before starting. COVID medical or religious exemption will be accepted. Time off requests must be kept to a minimum during the assignment and must be approved prior to confirmation. Mandatory additional hours on an as-needed basis to ensure unit coverage may be required. Rotating weekend and holidays are included.
