Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Evanston, IL
The organization is seeking a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-acuity care for critically ill newborns in a Level III setting. Responsibilities include delivering developmentally appropriate nursing care for micro preemies (including 24 weeks and up) with variable respiratory support needs, as well as supporting patients undergoing surgical interventions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift; 12 hours per shift; minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (CPR) certification; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; 3+ years NICU RN experience (Level III)
• Preferred Qualifications: Epic charting experience
• Additional Information:
  • Level III, high acuity NICU patient population including micro preemies and grower-feeders (44 weeks gestation referenced)
  • Care needs may include respiratory support and patients with surgical needs
  • Weekend requirement: every other weekend
  • Holidays: as needed
  • Orientation: 12 hours (6 non-billable)
