Job Summary: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER) Port Huron, Michigan. This role provides safe patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The position directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards in Telemetry and is responsible for communicating patient condition changes, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology to the physician. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12 hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current and valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Preferred Qualifications: National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) or stroke certification; COVID vaccination/boosters; BVP (MAB) training.
• Responsibilities: Deliver safe patient care within the scope of practice by performing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation; provide direct patient care within Telemetry; direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel; maintain standards of professional nursing care; communicate with physicians regarding changes in clinical condition, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology; respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment; apply knowledge of EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies and hospital social work resources; maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
