Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located in Plano, Texas. This 13-week travel assignment involves night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, requiring experienced candidates to provide skilled critical care to ICU patients. The role emphasizes excellent patient outcomes and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, 2+ years of hospital experience, 2+ years of ICU specialty experience, BLS, ACLS, active RN license
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with MEDITECH electronic documentation system, TNCC, CCRN, or TCRN certifications
- Unit Specifics: CCU with 36 beds, burn trauma ICU with 30 beds, patient ratios 2:1, supervision on every shift, PCT staff available
- Documentation System: MEDITECH
- Scheduling: Every other weekend, floating as needed
- Procedures Performed on Unit: Central line insertions, arterial line insertions, thoracotomies, bedside trachs, chest tube insertions
- Dress Code: RN royal blue scrubs, clean and healthy nails (no artificial or gel nails), neat hair pulled back if shoulder-length, tattoos covered when possible, no visible piercings other than earrings
