Job Summary
Certified Operating Room Tech (Certified Operating Room Tech) Washington, District of Columbia
The organization is seeking a Surgical Technologist (Certified Operating Room Tech) to support surgical cases by preparing supplies, equipment, and instrumentation. This role anticipates needs during procedures, assists the surgical team, and is responsible for case cleanup, patient positioning, moving patients, and room turnovers. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift; minimum 40.0 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalency; completion of an accredited surgical technology program or certification, or a degree from an accredited nursing program; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; NBSTSA Certification as a surgical technologist (CST); required 2 years of experience in an acute care setting; demonstrated good communication skills; required certification and registration as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience
- Additional Information: Enables skills-based hiring. Responsibilities include supporting all surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining surgical supplies and instrumentation, anticipating instrument needs during passing, assisting the surgical team throughout procedures, performing case clean up, positioning patients, moving patients, and completing room turnovers.
