Job Summary:
A Med Surg (Medical Surgical) Float Nurse position is available in Kirksville, Missouri. This role involves providing patient care within a swing bed unit, primarily for inpatient rehab and medical-surgical patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of work.

Job Details:

• Location: Kirksville, Missouri
• Specialty: Medical Surgical Float Position
• Shift: Nights, 6:00 PM 6:30 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; at least 1 year of nursing experience; experience in rehabilitation and/or medical-surgical settings; acceptable EMR (Electronic Medical Record): MedHost
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours weekly
• Float: Mainly to Medical Surgical units; may be floated to other units for tasking with existing competencies
• Additional Information: Provide nursing care for up to 10 inpatient rehab patients, with the possibility of absorbing medical-surgical patients if swing volume decreases. Patients typically require less nurse-intensive care but require the same clinical skills.
• No standing call; may be placed on call if volume supports, with no more than 48 hours of call-off time as per the standard contract.
