Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) in Wausau, Wisconsin. This position involves providing patient care in a fast-paced post-surgical unit, requiring collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The RN will be responsible for managing a variety of adult and geriatric surgical patients with a focus on recovery and perioperative care.
Job Details:
- Shift: Rotating, 12-hour day/night shifts, 7a-7p/7p-7a with every other weekend and holiday rotation.
- Schedule: 36 hours guaranteed per week.
- Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC), minimum of 2+ years of Medical Surgical (Med Surg) experience with recent hospital involvement, trauma level II experience required, Epic charting experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to all inpatient units.
- Additional Information:
- Experience working in a post-surgical unit assisting adult and geriatric patients.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize based on patient acuity.
- May work in a 40-bed inpatient surgical recovery unit with high patient admissions.
- Must wear a mask during flu season if declining flu and COVID vaccinations, as per policy.
