Description
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse Richmond, Virginia
A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse position is available in Richmond, Virginia. This role provides care for critically ill newborns, including management of ventilated patients and support for complex neonatal treatments. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); Registered Nurse license; previous Level III NICU experience; ability to perform Central Line Maintenance (PICC/UVC/UAC); experience caring for intubated/ventilated patients; experience with Bubble CPAP/NIPPV
- Preferred Qualifications: High Frequency Jet/Oscillator ventilation experience; post-op Vent experience; admission/discharge experience; experience with gestational age as low as 23 weeks
- Additional Information: Unit is Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU); huddle at 0700/1900 followed by bedside report. Must clock out for a 30-minute lunch unless noted in Kronos log. Must notify the unit 2 hours prior to the start of shift for call out. No on-call requirements.

- Float: Float: Mother-Infant Unit (only take well babies, no moms). Can float to Pediatrics and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit if desired but not required.
