Description
Job Summary: Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse Key West, Florida. The registered nurse is responsible for shift accountability while providing nursing care across the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care for labor and delivery patients. The role requires clinical judgment, critical thinking, and leadership to anticipate, plan, and deliver safe patient care, while maintaining competencies through continuing education. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift (7a7p); 12 hours per shift; minimum 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (required as well, with the option to obtain within 30 days of start if needed); Texas-based? Not Specified (omit); AHCA required for Florida placements; RN licensure required; experience with L&D postpartum, nursery, and mother/baby; at least 2 prior travel assignments.
- Preferred Qualifications: Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) experience/credential (can be completed onsite).
- Additional Information: The position supports flexibility to float to other units as facility needs apply. Care is delivered using the nursing process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policy and procedures, including delegation, direction, and supervision of assigned personnel.
