Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor (MS REHAB) Salem, Virginia
The healthcare provider will support inpatient rehabilitation services in a medical-surgical rehabilitation floor setting. Responsibilities include delivering patient care that supports functional improvement goals in coordination with a multidisciplinary care team. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour days; every other weekend; minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); VA license; Med/Surg or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Rehabilitation experience
• Provide medication administration, including intravenous (IV) therapy, with attention to patient needs and safety
• Assist with specialized patient care activities, including percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) tube administration, tracheostomy (trach) care, tube feeding, and care for urinary catheter (Foley) needs
• Perform bladder scan support, bladder irrigation support, and related patient assessment activities as needed
• Support blood administration as appropriate to unit workflows and patient needs
• Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, including nursing and therapy services, to contribute to patient functional improvement and independence goals
