Operating Room (Open Heart) CardioVascular Operating Room Staff Houston, TX

The Operating Room (Open Heart) CardioVascular Operating Room Staff role supports complex cardiovascular surgical procedures in a fast-paced environment. This position provides both scrub and circulating support across cardiac and vascular cases, including high-acuity emergency workflows as needed. Candidates must bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

Schedule: Day Shift, 10 shift hours, minimum 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; CVOR experience in cardiac and vascular surgery; at least 2 years of exclusive CVOR experience; 5 years of scrub and circulate experience
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred consideration for candidates with additional experience performing scrub and circulate duties in CVOR settings for cardiac and vascular procedures
Responsibilities: Scrub and circulate for cardiovascular surgical procedures; support open and endovascular complex vascular cases and complex cardiac procedures (including dissection and thoracoabdominal approach cases, sternotomy, CABG/AVR/MVR, VSD repair, Impella/ECMO insertion, ascending/descending aorta repair, thoracic robotic cases, and TAVRs); maintain effective team communication and performance under pressure during high-volume and emergency situations
Additional Information: Floating to Main OR, CathLab, and IR may be required; weekend call is required; black scrubs are provided by the CVOR unit
Certifications: BLS and ACLS
