Description

Job Summary: Labor and Delivery (L&D) and Postpartum (PP) Registered Nurse (RN) Corpus Christi, TX
This position supports maternal care across Labor and Delivery and Postpartum settings, including routine patient assessments, fetal monitoring, vital signs, and finger sticks. The role requires appropriate clinical certifications and availability for weekend shifts per the facility schedule. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shift, 12 shift hours; minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Must hold Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Intra-partum Fetal Monitoring (IFM), with a current license required to be brought on the first day of employment.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Preference for candidates with Computerized Physician Order Entry/clinical documentation experience in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems (CPN) and Meditech experience, plus Labor and Delivery experience.
  • Responsibilities: Perform routine assessments, provide fetal monitoring, obtain and document vital signs, and complete finger sticks as part of standard unit care.
  • Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Intra-partum Fetal Monitoring (IFM) are required.
  • Floating: Float rotation may be required to support Labor and Delivery care for APUs patients and Postpartum care for Postpartum (PP) moms only.
  • Additional Information: Weekend shifts are required on a 4-days-per-4-week schedule period. Scrubs in royal blue are required.
