Description

Job Summary: Los Alamos, New Mexico Registered Nurse (Labor and Delivery). The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse to support Labor & Delivery services within an OB/GYN unit providing care for childbearing-aged women and newborns. This role is focused on delivering patient-centered care in a team-oriented environment while supporting Labor, Delivery, Postpartum, and related care needs. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Nights (12 hours); minimum 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Registered nursing certification/licensure required to work as a Labor and Delivery nurse in New Mexico; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); AWHONN (Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses); BLS (Basic Life Support); NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program); PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); HWC (as listed in the posting)
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous LDRP/PP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum) experience
  • Additional Information: Orientation is weekly on Mondays. Travelers may be required to complete state compliance steps prior to starting and may be eligible to begin on a 14-day waiver while background results are pending, with supervision required. Unit care includes labor rooms and postpartum rooms, with patient ratios described as 2-1:1 LDRP and 3 couplets:1 postpartum.
