Description
Medical Surgical Cardiac Floor (MS Cardiac) Nashville, Tennessee
The healthcare provider will support patient care on a 4th-floor medical surgical cardiac unit, contributing to daily clinical operations in a Level 1 trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center environment. The role includes working 12-hour shifts with weekend requirements and may include floating to other departments based on unit needs. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days 12-hour shifts; 36.0 minimum hours per week; 3 12-hour shifts per week; weekend requirement of 4 weekend shifts/schedule
- Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); applicable medical/surgical cardiac experience or training as appropriate for the role (0 years minimum experience required)
- Preferred Qualifications: Med/surg experience
- Responsibilities:
- Provide support for medical/surgical cardiac patient care on the assigned unit
- Follow unit guidelines and policies for clinical workflow and patient care
- Float to other departments as needed based on operational requirements
- Additional Information:
- Unit type: 4th floor medical/surgical
- Unit staffing: Unit secretary for dayshift; patient care technicians (PCTs) on all shifts
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Dress code: Navy scrubs
- Unit profile: Level 1 trauma; Comprehensive Stroke Center
